There is no try.
Yoda said this.
What's the difference?

If you bump into Yoda, please let him know I'll offer him a special deal if he joins Italki before the current Star Wars film finishes its run!
Seriously, I remember Yoda being portrayed as a speaker of a strange form of near-native English. Your quote sounds like one of his unusual English sayings.
He may have meant : "There is no such thing as "trying": you either do something, or you don't do it."

Awww, Yoda...do not copy his grammar. Or in Yodaspeak "Copy his grammar, do not. Yesssss"
He meant there is no such thing as trying to do so something. Trying is not good enough, you must do.
