If possible, call them by name soon after meeting them or even ask to make sure you are saying it right (even if it seems easy). An easy example: "Hi, my name's Danny." "Danny, right? Ok, Nice to meet you, Danny." and then a minute later you ask a simple question starting with the person's name: "Hey Danny, which city did you grow up in?" For most people, their name is the most beautiful word in any language, so don't be afraid to use it too often!
