It's this correct ? The Nisava valley is part of a major natural route that from ancient times has connected Europe and Asia : the route follows the valleys of the Morava, Nisava and Maritsa and onwards towards Istanbul. Both the Belgrade-Sofia-Istanbul road and the railway follow this route.

The route through the Nisava valley has been a major gateway to Europe from Asia since ancient time .The route pass through the valleys of Morava and Marista before it reaches Istanbul . The Belgrade- Sofia- Istanbul Highway and a railway line also follow the same route.
