what does" she has lost seven of the last-day contest" mean? I read a paragraph on a website, but I am not sure what does the following sentence mean in the context. Could you please help me? Thank you! The Brooklyn-born Senator questioned his rival's judgment for supporting the Iraq War, and also for her ties with Wall Street. The former Secretary of State hit back over his claim She's unqualified to be President. I've been called a lot of things in my life. That was a first. Hillary Clinton has lost seven of the last-day contest. Though still the strong frontrunner, she could do with a victory in the state she used to serve as Senator. What does "Hillary Clinton has lost seven of the last-day contest."mean? What does "seven" here refer to? Seven what? Thanks again!

I would imagine the 7 refers to 'the Caucuses' because she has lost 7 times according to the people's vote.

The quote is incorrect. It should read ...has lost seven of the last eight contests.
