Bachelor's Degrees in the UK I heard that Bachelor's Degrees in the UK have 4 ranks: First Class, Second Class(upper division), Second Class(lower division) and Third class. Students who got First Class or Second Class(upper division) are easy to apply for further study of master or doctor Degrees. In University of Manchester, University of Bristol and University of Birmingham, what is the percentage of receiving Bachelor's Degrees of First Class and Second Class(upper division)?

As usual, I agree with Michael. The only way anyone can know this is to look it up, so you may as well do the research yourself. I agree that it does depend very much on the subject. I also agree that from the point of view of the employer, the reputation of the university is more important than the grade.

I suggest that you do this research yourself because it's not general knowledge even for British people. You need to compare grades in the same subject. It's much harder to get a first class degree in some subjects compared to others. In my view, I believe that a 2:1 at an average university is, in general, better to have than a 2:2 from a leading university.
