Surely yes.I also feel that I write English much more slowly than you native speakers.so called "Practice makes perfect"(熟能生巧) It also has something to do with personal handwriting habit.For example,some guys would like to use some signs to simplify their handwriting. But you should keep in mind that Writing fast doesn't mean writing well!! For beginners,your goal is to write clear and correct and than with time and practice you'll make progress in both quality and quantity.^^

Well I can write an 800-characters article in 40 minutes including the thinking time. And some of my friends can only use 20 minutes...that's really really fast...even a little bit scaring Actually the writing speed mainly depends on how beautiful you want your handwriting will be. The more beautiful the handwriting is, the slower your speed will be.
