Talk some sense into someone VS reason with someone
I consult the dictionary that "talk some sense into someone "and "reason with someone" seem to have the similar meaning, which represents persuading someone to do something or being more sensible.
Are they the very same?

They have a similar meaning, but "talk some sense into someone" is quite strong, with a sense of urgency, and implies that the other person is being stubborn, or even stupid. "Reason with someone" is a much subtler, more polite way to talk about persuasion, suggesting more a difference of opinion than a reckless person.
