住 . 你住在哪里? Where are you staying/Where do you stay/Where do you live? 我住在.... I'm staying in...(eg hotel). I live in...(eg city/country).

stay : 停留，逗留/ 【口语】呆(=待，but we usually use the former) eg. I'll stay in London for a few days. 我会在伦敦逗留几日= 我会在伦敦呆几天 eg. I stay in XXX Hotel. 我下榻在xxx宾馆/旅店/酒店。【下榻 is usually used in written language though】
