"no being naked" rule(The Giver, ch 4) Would you explain the last sentence of the following paragraph, which is from the summary of a book, The Giver? Once in the bathing room, Jonas sets to bathing an old woman. It reminds him of the way his father bathed the baby Gabriel last night. He knows it's against the rules for any person to see another person naked, except for babies and the elderly. This "no being naked" rule seems useless to him. It refers to the previous sentence, about the rule that nobody is allowed to see anyone else naked unless they are elderly or a baby. Jonas thinks it is a useless rule, meaning he thinks there is no meaning or point to the rule.
