1. In what context will you use it? It would depend on that. 2. I think you can just say, "hold on a sec" to let the other person know you are talking to someone without sounding rude. 3. Which subject do you have homework for today? Which subject is this notebook for? 4. Either is understandable but if you want to be more grammatically correct the second one is better.
