What does the last sentence mean by the word 'although'? Anyway, I got the interview with this company within a week and I got a good feeling as I walked in the door, everything clean and everyone obviously working very hard. *Although* it was a new field for me, I'm now reskilled. - Is it correct to use full stop before 'although'?

Hi David, The question you want to ask is "Is it correct to begin a sentence with a conjunction?". The answer to that question is no when is comes to coordinating conjunction such as 'and, but, for, nor, or, so, yet', but sometimes it's okay when it applies to subordinating conjunctions such as 'though, although, if' and so fort. So in this sentence it's not wrong to start the sentence with "although" as for the context that it's being used for is best to use "although" at the beginning of the sentence rather than to join the two sentences together. Refer to this link for more details on this subject: http://blog.oxforddictionaries.com/2012/01/can-i-start-a-sentence-with-a-conjunction/ Hope this helps :)
