Confused by a line of a sitcom.
I'm watching a old sitcom called The Golden Girls. There's a line I can't understand.
Rose feels so sorry for losing Blanche's earrings, so she says:"I'll make this up to you. For one week I am going to be your personal videnfrogen."
Obviously, Blanche and Dorothy don‘t know the meaning of the "videnforgen", and it seems they take it wrong. Blanche asks Dorothy:"Can one woman do that for another?"
Dorothy answers: "Only if they're the same height.", and then she asks Rose, "What the hell is a weedenfrurgen?"
I want to know what did Blanche and Dorothy take the "videnforgen" for?

It is not an English word. It is a made up word by the Golden Girls writers. Most of the time such words can many things depending in which circumstances it is used.

They didn't take it for anything. They're making fun of Rose by pretending (for a minute) that videnforgen is a real word that everyone understands.
