Why ni and not tampoco? So I tried to make up a random and Google translator said I was wrong. My sentence: Neither mom nor I like bread. Google: Ni mamá ni me gusta el pan. So whats the diff. When should I use tampoco and ni?? Also why does this thing (italki) tell you not to ask for language partners?

Hey Melá! First of all, you shouln't go to google asking for complete sentences. Google translator is helpfull just to check the meanings for specific words. I recommend you to use LINGUEE instead (It's great). In spanish the sentence goes like this: Ni a mi mamá ni a mí nos gusta el pan. if you want the same sentence with TAMPOCO: A nosotros tampoco nos gusta el pan. This is a link that I'm sure it will help you to know when to use TAMPOCO and NI: https://spanish.stackexchange.com/questions/16595/is-there-any-difference-in-meaning-between-yo-tampoco-ni-yo-and-ni-yo-tam I don't know the italki issue about the language partners.

You can say: A mi mamá no le gusta el pan y a mí TAMPOCO. - My mom doesn't like bread and EITHER I like it. or NI a mi mamá NI a mí nos gusta el pan. - NEITHER mom NOR I like bread. I hope this was helpful. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. Have a nice day.
