How should I understand the word "composite" here?
context as below:
...there are no composite characters or events in this book...
Does it mean that all of the characters or events in this book are separated? and each character or event doesn't connect with others?

A composite character is COMPOSED (like in a piece of music, a painting or a sculpture) in order to create a FICTIONAL figure who does not have an evident correlation to person x or y in the real life. Of course, he or she has typical features referring to popular or extraordinaire ways of thinking and acting in the "reality." In the sum, he or she is an artificial creation, an invention. Nevertheless, his or her adventures or experiences always have a connection to the "real" life (our dreams, wishes, fears, good or bad experiences etc.)
The crux of the matter is the difference between fictional and nonfictional literature.

Hi there. A "composite character" is a character based on more than one person. It means that this character has aspects of his life/situation/personality which are taken from several different real-life characters.

A composite character is a character based on more than one individual. In other words, there are no fictional characters of events in this book. It's based on true events, it's a true story.
