Help with English(please) Hi, there Could you help me? 1)Would you say "Not with all the soap in the world, nor with all the cosmetics will these wrinkles ever go away" or "Neither with all the soap in the world, nor with all the cosmetics will these wrinkles ever go away" ? 2) In this sentnece "This month's agreement has reduced the risks of a nuclear conflict on the same scale as THAT WHICH the Cold War saw", why can't I use "on the same scale as that which the Cold War saw"? What i mean is: The agreement has reduced the risks of a nuclear conflict on the same scale as THAT(the scale) of the nuclear conflict we had during the Cold War.... Then why can't I say "(...) reduced the risks of a nuclear conflict on the same scale as THAT WHICH the Cold War saw"? Please, could you help me? Please

1. The first sentence sounds best. 2. About the nuclear conflict sentence, your sentence is ambiguous as to whether you are talking about the scale of the potential nuclear war or the scale of the reduction in risk. "As that which" is not ungrammatical but is a little awkward. A better (clearer) sentence would be "This month's agreement has reduced the risk of a large scale nuclear conflict below Cold War levels." Or, "This month's agreement, while not eliminating the possibility of nuclear conflict, has reduced the risk that any such conflict will be on the same scale as appeared possible during the Cold War."

1.) Neither will all soap, nor cosmetics in the world make these wrinkles go away. 2.) This month's agreement has reduced the risk of a nuclear war ocurrring to the same degree as the one that succeeded the cold war. (something along those lines - if I understood the context correctly)
