Verb "adore"
Reviewing my last posts on Italki, I did a compilation of my main errors and I would like your help to verify if I could understand properly:
5. The use of verb "adore":
After the verb adore at infinitive mode, the verb that follows it must end in "ing". For example, it is wrong to say: "I adore to stay there". The right form is "I adore staying there". Is my inference right?

Here is a list of common verbs that can be followed by gerunds (-ing): https://www.englishpage.com/gerunds/gerund_list.htm
Here is a list of common verbs that can be followed by infinitives (to X): https://www.englishpage.com/gerunds/infinitive_list.htm
Neither list is complete (for instance, "adore" isn't on the "gerund" list), but they're a good place to start.
