What does ''Intensively reared'' and '' cramped living'' mean in this sentence:
I think it's common knowledge that intensively reared livestock suffer horribly because of their cramped living conditions.

Intensively reared:
Reared as in "raised", and it is done intensively to increase the farm's production.
Cramped living conditions:
The conditions (the state/quality of location, space, cleanliness, safety, etc) in which they live is cramped (= overcrowded/there is very little room compared to the total amount of things(for instance, chickens, cows, people, etc), so it is difficult or almost impossible to move around).
