the sentence which means what you want to do is
~たい。(~tai)
Putting a verb in"~", you can mean what you want to do.
For example, "I would like to go to restaurant" is,
私はレストランへ行きたいです。(watashi wa restoran e ikitaidesu).
When putting a verb begore "~たい", you need to change the ending of a verb into い or え sounds, nomally.
For example, the verb, ”する” (to do) needs to be changed into ”し"(shi) before ”~たい”.
the verb, ”食べる"(to eat) needs to be changed into "食べ"(tabe) before”~たい”.
the verb, "寝る”(to sleep) needs to be changed into ”寝”(ne) before"~たい".
This difference of whther い or え sounds depends on conjugation of each verbs.
I'm sorry for not being able to answer this question well, but i would be happy if it becomes your help.
bye.
