What's the difference between "last will" and "testament"? I saw them together most of the time. I thought they are synonyms? Do they always come together as package? "last will and testment" Thank you

These are nuanced legal terms, so I can't very well explain the difference; however, here is a definition found online for US law:

"Testament refers to a Will disposing off personal property. A Will is a document by which a person provides for the transfer of his or her property upon death. Historically, a ‘will’ has been limited to real property whereas a ‘testament’ applies to dispositions of personal property. " (src: https://definitions.uslegal.com/t/testament/)

"Real property" means land and buildings (ie. real estate), whereas "personal property" refers to a person's possessions (ie. everything else, such as clothes, papers, jewely, automobiles, furniture, bank accounts, intellectual property, online identities, investments, passwords, business interests, antiques, etc.)

Most modern documents are titled as "last will and testament" and deal with both types of property.
