When he didn't answer, the voice mails that she left. She decided to send him an email. In the email, there was this sentence "I realized that you must be buried right now.". So, what does this sentence mean?

busy. Teh concept is to be buried under piles of work. Think of traditional filing that could physically pile up and mount up uintil your desk was difficult to find under this wall and pile of work to do.

You can also be buried in bureaucracy or "red tape". . While in theory the sale fo the land was simple, we actually spent months buried in bureaucracy getting all the approvals.
