Why use 'industries' rather than 'industry'? What are the different ones you are thinking of?

I need some further clarification. By the use of the word 'indeed', I assume you have previously spoken of those efforts. 'Lead' is in the past tense, is it not? I will need to change the wording, not because it is wrong, but it is confusing.
