When I think of the word foreigner I think of someone who is not born in the country they are located in (not a citizen) or who is newly arrived to the country they are located in and who is unfamiliar with the language and/or the customs of the country. I’m a native English speaker from the USA. I visited Australia where I was a foreigner. I spoke the language, but I was not born there and they have many unique customs that were new to me.
