What does this word mean in Turkish?! Can any one tell me please what does "Zırt pırt" mean in Turkish?! They use it much in Turkish series. Another one is "Çıkıp pıkıp" or something like that, I couldn't catch it in fact ! :))

"Zırt pırt" One of the redupl. (reduplication) in Turkish to express the frequency of a situation (mostly represents to weariness) İ.e: ●Biribini zırt pırt aramak (to call sb. frequently) ●Zırt pırt gelmek (to visit frequently) -"Zırt pırt bu konuyu açma/gündeme getirme! Bıktım artık! (Don't bring up to this issue! I am pissed off!) - "Zırt pırt bana mesaj atıyorlar! Artık bıktım!" (They text frequently to me! I had enough!) But honestly I've never heard "Çıkıp pıkıp" ●Rather they use it like that: "Çıkıp gelmek/Çıkıp çıkıp gelmek" (as an idiom in English "come out of the blue" or "blow in") ●İkide birde/İkide bir also has same meaning that means "very frequenty" ●In contrast to this you may express frequency of the situation in polite way with "sık sık" (often) Sık sık sorabilirsiniz. Kolay gelsin)

It means "frequently" but has a negative connotation to it. We also use "ikide birde" which has the same meaning. So, if you hear "zirt pirt" you can be sure that the person who said is a little pissed about something that occurs frequently.
