What's the difference of "소유자" and "임자"? They both mean "owner" in English.

ok. Let me explain this way. 소유자 means just 'owner'. it has just only one meaning. but 임자 has several meanings in various situations. 1. owner who possess something 2. the person who has the power to control some objects or aninmals 3. the partner who got married(long ago it used for various aged group) and 임자 can be pronoun sometimes. and it means like following: 1. the person who has similar age but you dont really know him or her. Or you even know thou, you feel uncomfy to call '자네(which is pronoun for younger people than you when you are over 40 at least or your job is professor or so' Or when you want to call younger person with more little bit a respect than usual 2. old married partner call each other with it. hope it would be the help for you. if you have further question, contact me please. :)
