Let's be honest, it isn't a great question. We all like the notion of kindness and receiving sweet offerings and gestures, but there are nefarious elements to this question, too. More on that at the end. Anyway; this question presumes much. Like, we can read minds or perfectly interpret events between others not necessarily known to us. Rarely, can the simplest of matters find anymutual accord. (Husband who have never forgotten buy a flower for a wife.) might be an easy answer to a question of sorts, but... The spirit of this question, whether corrected grammatically or not relies on observation. What was 'SEEN' is the important element: Witnessed by you, which implies an event, not a series of thoughts, since a person can not observe a random or imaginary or even a representative husband always remembering or actually buying flowers, every moment. Your answer is problematic as it requires context for the 'never forgotten' phrase. Does a husband intend to buy a flower every moment? Did he forget in one moment? Both would be strange indeed; so, what are the parameters for this husband to work within and not fail? Is a specific time frame, or event, or regularity implied? I think it must be - so what might that be? Once a week Once a month? Birthdays? What is considered to be 'sweet'? So, Mariam, to make the question more clear: "What action have YOU seen a husband do for his wife that was worthy of the 'sweetest thing' honour? "I once saw a.... husband return to a shop he was actually leaving to spontaneously buy a flower for his wife standing outside." or '.....throw his coat into a puddle, so that his wife might cross the road...' There's also perhaps a creeping conservatism to the question that is a glaring elephant in the room to many: Men doing sweet things for women. It's a really demeaning concept for many women. It's also insulting to non-binary member's of our societies. I'm surprised this question even exists in the 21st century at italki. Discuss?
Love the debate in my head around this issue raised by this question.
