So, I added "it seems" to soften the statement. 3) "have a ... speech" - we say "give a speech" 4) "Do my best" - this phrase is totally fine, but it seems to used a lot by Japanese students (meaning 頑張る in Japanese?). Here are a few other ways to say "do my best": do the best I can, try my hardest, give it my best/full effort, do my utmost, do all I can. Informally, you can also say: give it my best shot, give it 110%, give it my all, go all out, go for it.
