What is the difference between the "earnings" and the "revenue"?

I don’t speak spanish very well, so, I’ll try to explain it in the best way.
Revenue is an amount of money or credit that you earn for doing an productive activity (this revenue includes costs, taxes, ...) and earnings is the result that you get when you divide the net income between shares outstanding.

Revenue is usually the income of the company that runs before deduction of the expenses. And Earnings is a profit of the company, or what compamy has earned and minus the expenses.

Revenue is what the company has made before subtracting any expenses. Earnings in the other hand is the profit, it is revenue minus expenses, taxes, costs etc. :)
