Hi everyone, today, I’d like to share something with you today that I feel strongly about. Did you know that over 2,000 dogs were put down in Japan last year? It’s a heartbreaking reality, and it’s made me think deeply about where we get our pets from. Personally, I believe it’s better not to buy dogs from pet shops, and I’d like to explain two reasons why I feel this way. First, there are many dogs in shelters waiting for a second chance. When people choose to buy dogs from pet shops, it becomes harder for these shelter dogs to find loving homes. But if you adopt a rescue dog, you’re not just getting a pet—you’re saving a life. Second, unfortunately, some dogs sold in pet shops come from places where they’re raised in poor conditions. They may be kept in small cages and bred without proper care, which can lead to health problems in puppies. Knowing this, I feel it’s important to think carefully before buying a dog from a shop. Of course, if you’re looking for a rare breed, a pet shop might seem like the easiest option. But in my opinion, if you truly love dogs, adopting a rescue dog is a wonderful and compassionate choice. What do you think? Have you ever considered adopting instead of buying?
