Claudia
After raining for nearly two weeks, the sunshine finally came back to Shanghai. I took the chance to take a walk near my home this afternoon. I used to consider myself an indoor person, but later I realized that I’m an introverted person instead of an indoor one. The myth of introverts includes that they prefer to stay at home rather than go out. As an introvert, I do enjoy staying at home doing whatever I like, but I enjoy hanging out on my own without any specific aim as well. Besides, people usually think that introverts are afraid of or even hate social activities, and they can by no means be good at socializing with others. People around me can hardly believe that I’m introverted because I get along with others pretty well. Being an introvert doesn’t necessarily mean that I can’t handle interpersonal relationships. It just means that social activities aren’t a must in my daily life and I gain energy from being alone and enjoying myself.

After nearly two weeks of rain, sunshine finally came back to Shanghai. I seized the opportunity and took a walk near my home this afternoon. I used to consider myself an indoor person, but more recently realized that I’m an introverted person rather than an indoor one. The mythology of introversion includes a preference to stay at home rather than to go out. As an introvert, I do enjoy staying at home to do as I like, but I also enjoy hanging out on my own with no specific aim as well. People usually think that introverts are afraid of, or even hate, social activities, and that they are not at all at ease in social situations. People around me can hardly believe me when I tell them that I’m introverted because I do get along with others pretty well. Being an introvert doesn’t damage my relationships. It just means that social activities aren’t a must in my daily life and I gain my energy and enjoyment elsewhere: in my time alone.
In your paragraph, the phrase "raining for two weeks" appears to modify "sunshine". That is not what you intended to say because sunshine does not rain. Be careful where you place adjective phrases. They will be interpreted to modify the closest possible candidate. //// "Take a chance" is an ok expression here, but not great. To "take a chance" means to take on a risk, and there is no risk here. //// The clauses "I enjoy staying home doing whatever I like" and "I enjoy hanging out on my own without specific aim" say exactly the same thing. For that reason, it does not make sense to join them with "but".

After it has been raining for nearly two weeks, the sunshine has finally come back to Shanghai. I took the chance/opportunity to have a walk near my home this afternoon. I used to consider myself an indoor person, but later I realized that I’m actually an introverted person instead. The myth about introverts includes the fact that they prefer to stay at home rather than going out. As an introvert, I do enjoy staying at home doing whatever I like, but I also enjoy hanging out on my own without any specific aim as well. Besides, people usually think that introverts are afraid of or even hate social activities and they can by no means be good at socializing with others. People around me can hardly believe that I’m introverted because I get along with others pretty well. Being an introvert doesn’t necessarily mean that I can’t handle interpersonal relationships. It just means that social activities aren’t a must in my daily life and I gain energy/recharge my batteries from/by being alone and enjoying myself.
A very good piece of writing Claudia, keep it up :). Happy New Year by the way.
