Mi Vida Loca! http://www.bbc.co.uk/languages/spanish/mividaloca/ Excellent resource - learnt some Spanish, had a lot of fun and even got a certificate:

The beautiful world of Rosetta Stone... La mujer está vollando, un caballo está nadando, el avion está bailando, un pérro está saltando solamente una vez. I haven't gone nuts, I studied some Spanish yesterday (using Rosetta Stone TotalE), and now can't get rid of these absurd combinations. Hauntingly beautiful, too - a lonely dog jumping, a flying woman, a swimming horse, a dancing aeroplane... Why not, actually? All is fair when you are struggling to learn a foreign language :)

Hi and welcome!

It feels very strange to be a one-person group but, hopefully, this is going to change soon.

There are other excellent IELTS study groups on italki, so I thought it might be a good idea to explain how this group is going to be different. Please feel free to make suggestions.

This can be an active study community - share your best tips, your concerns, your lucky discoveries; ask for (and get) support, or just vent your frustration in front of your study buddies - and eventually everyone will cheer you for your persistence and success! This will only happen if we are active participants, rather than just silent observers.

So, what can we do to make the long and winding road to the desired IELTS band a rewarding learning experience?

* you can participate by starting your own discussion;

* take part in threads started by fellow members;

* join skype sessions, mini-tutorials, workshops - they are free, just watch this space for updates;

* find a study buddy and practise!

Welcome, and have fun! <img title="Smile" src="http://www.italki.com/Scripts/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-smile.gif" alt="Smile" border="0" />
