• I love helping students!
• I customize lessons around the students' needs. We'll practice using activities that you enjoy and that work best for you.

• Hold a certificate of 420-hours Teaching Japanese Language Course.
• Passed Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test in 2002. I have been teaching since then.
• In Tokyo, I taught students both singly (one-on-one) and in groups.

For example, with beginners
• We start by practicing Japanese scripts (kana).
• I then help you to learn Japanese grammar systematically.
• You get to practice both speaking and grammar in a good balance.

For intermediate students
• I will help you develop your fluency through conversations on a range of topics.
• We continue to improve your grammar through theory and practice.

Conversation class
We will talk about anything you like or a given topic. I will also help you with the grammar if necessary, so that you can speak more correctly.教材

Mayumi is the best Japanese teacher I have had. Her goal is to make sure her students get the most out of her class and is a supportive and kind teacher. I can not recommend a lesson with Mayumi enough.

Mayumi sensei always puts in a lot of effort into her lessons and always makes the lessons enjoyable and fun.
She explains grammar excellently and makes working through exercises fun and personal.
She's great at identifying areas of improvement and focuses on them to ensure that you don't feel overwhelmed when progressing to future lessons.
Highly recommended teacher.

I've been taking lessons with Mayumi for awhile now and I absolutely love our classes together! She is a great a teacher- She answers any questions I bring to the lesson, changes our lessons based on what I'm struggling with, and is patient no matter how long I get stuck on something. Her passion for teaching and sharing her culture is unmatched. I definitely recommend taking lessons with her if you're looking to learn or improve your Japanese!
まゆみさんとの授業はいつも楽しくて、毎回とても楽しみにしています。
N3レベルの話題を勉強したり、いろいろなテーマについて話す練習をしたり、一緒に宿題のフィードバックを見直したりしています。
先生として、私が行き詰まったときも、いつも忍耐強く助けてくださって、授業の中で自然に正してくださいます。
