Jane has been an amazing Laoshi ( Teacher)!! I have taken several lessons with her and within a few days I am able to read and create full sentences in Chinese. She is always approachable, always on time, patient and willing to go the extra mile to explain the points being presented. And is also very encouraging and utilizes the time efficiently each lesson. i never feel hurried. She allows time to learn at your pace She is professional, very approachable, positive, and smiles often creating a fun and efficient learning environment. Likely the best Chinese teacher here and I would highly recommend her to anyone who is serious about learning Her asking rate is very reasonable specially with the packages discounts. I will get more packages in the future. So, I truly believe you will not regret choosing her as your mandarin teacher because she is really awesome and I am very pleased with her teaching approach and glad she is helping so many students. I’m extremely grateful to have found Jane on italki last month. In only a couple of weeks and almost 20 lessons later, I can see massive improvement in my listening and speaking ability. Jane is encouraging all along and I highly recommend her as a teacher! Looking forward to many more lessons :)

I’ve been learning with 金雅丽 (Jane) since June — around 40 lessons so far — and the progress has been incredible. My pronunciation has improved a lot, speaking feels natural now, and I no longer translate everything in my head. Even though I still self-study a lot, I can learn and retain new vocabulary much faster. Jane’s lessons are always fun, engaging, and confidence-building — I look forward to every class!
