Hello! My name is Lois - I live in Yorkshire in the north of the UK, the home of the famous ‘Yorkshire Puddings’. I am an experienced and qualified English teacher with a friendly style. I have a long career in teaching and in the Higher Education, Charity and Business sectors. I am passionate about equality and inclusion and welcome all students to my classes.

I hold both the CELTA and the CertEd teaching qualifications and have recently completed the University of Cambridge 'Intercultural Communication for Global Business' course. One of my areas of interest is 'cross-cultural communication'.
My lessons focus on improving your spoken English.
My specialist areas are:
* Business English - helping you to develop strong spoken English in the workplace so that you can be successful and confident
* Conversation and culture - developing your ability to have natural conversations about a range of topics with a native British English speaker. This quickly develops both your speaking and listening skills and your knowledge of British culture.レッスンおよびティーチングスタイル
My style is friendly and encouraging. Learning should be fun so I aim for a relaxed but informative style in my classes.
The Business English classes can be more demanding; your reward is to see your skills, confidence and accuracy progress quickly over a short number of sessions and for your career prospects to increase!
At our first lesson we will start by discussing your needs and what you would like to achieve. I will talk to you about what I can do to support your development and we will discuss and agree a way forward together.
