My name is Makalah. I have a Batchelor degree in Liberal Studies and a TESOL certification. I have over ten years of teaching experience working with a variety of different aged students in America, New Zealand, Thailand and China. I believe that a classroom should be a safe, welcoming environment where students are free to speak their minds. I teach with a progressivists teaching philosophy. I believe that individuality, progress, and change are fundamental to one's education. My curriculum centers the needs, experiences, interests, and abilities of my students. My online lessons are based on helping adults in their professional world. I have created lessons based beginner business and how to run proper office meetings. As well as business courses, I have taught IELTS preparation lessons and travel conversation. I am comfortable teaching and altering my lessons based on my student's needs and level proficiency. I am a patient educator that takes pride in my students results and goals. As a teacher it is important for my students to know that they are all more than capable to reach and surpass their goals with hard work and a good teacher.レッスン形式・教え方
I have 4 years of experience working online as a freelancer. I have created courses for my own students to partake in if they want extra improvement in basic conversational skills and reading. In my classes, I always extend my lessons past the content provided. I ask questions that not only help the child with their listening skills but also their ability to respond in complete sentences. My classes are all about repetition and extension on preexisting knowledge from prior lessons. With my freelancing courses, I am able to extend even past a pre-made lesson and focus on what my student wants to learn and goals set within a given timeframe.教材
