Hi everyone!
I’m Maki from Japan and I was raised in Shizuoka where is famous for Mt. Fuji.
While teaching Japanese, I have worked as a travel coordinator to help local people go to Japan in New Zealand for 3 years. After moving to England, my career as a tutor has been expanded. Currently I live in Japan and I am so excited to share current events in Japan with you. As I’m a qualified teacher as well as a learner of Chinese and Korean at this moment, it makes me to give ideas how to study and keep motivation from both teacher and student sides.
So what I can offer in my class through my experience is

In a trial lesson, I will spend some time to get to know about you and your interest to Japanese language. After hearing what you would like to achieve in my class, I will make a lesson plan for you and give ideas with feedback.
I speak Japanese and English during lessons depending on your Japanese level.
Most of my class will be conducted by sharing a textbook to cover a variety of language skills including casual conversation.
All of my students will receive feedback after classes and this will include your learning objective, new vocabulary, and next learning objective. They are popular among my students and it will give you more motivation to learn Japanese!教材

I’ve been taking lessons with Maki for a while now and she’s been absolutely lovely and extremely patient. I feel like I have improved in my speaking ability quite a bit since I started taking lessons with Maki. I feel more confident to actually try even if I make many mistakes trying. Maki is highly patient even when I stutter or take a while to make the sentence. She’s also very encouraging and it makes me want to continue to try harder and improve more. At times I have days where I struggle to speak more than others for some reason but Maki simply encourages and is really patient with me. I’ve also learnt a lot with her grammar wise. She explains the grammar points in a way that is easy to understand. Some grammar structures that I used to struggle with have been made so much clearer by Maki’s explanations as well a the speaking practices. I’m very grateful to have found such a lovely tutor and well worth the money :)))

まきさん was a great teacher! Our trail lesson went well and I spoke more Japanese than I thought possible. When I didn't understand a word or I said a sentence incorrectly, Maki corrected me in a kind and understanding manner. I'm hopeful and curious to see where my Japanese learning journey will go with her as my teacher.
