I've been taking Kumiさん's lessons for over a month now and I'm very glad I did! She is awesome at what she does and conversations with her flows naturally and smoothly every time and I think it's because she is a great listener and speaker. She has a great sense of humor which makes each topic fun and interesting to talk about and feels like you are talking to an awesome friend! Best thing is that nothing feels forced and this is because she is genuinely interested in what you are saying. Highly recommended!

I've been having lessons with Kumi sensei for 4 months already. She is kind and patient. She's a great listener and always finds a way to move the conversation forward in a natural way. She makes you feel comfortable and encourages you to speak regardless of your Japanese level. This time we chatted about my cousins birthday party at the pool, the writers walk I took this weekend, and last weekend I spent at a pop-up shop, volunteering for the makerspace where I'm a member (In order to get a free month), and the trials and tribulations of the dating scene. I had a blast talking with you Kumi Sensei!

Having been a student of Kumi-san for over two years, I can confidently say that she is an exceptional Japanese teacher. Her politeness and respect towards students create a welcoming and comfortable learning environment. Kumi-san's sense of humour is a breath of fresh air in each lesson, making the challenging journey of learning a new language enjoyable and engaging. Moreover, Kumi-san's encouragement is relentless. Her motivational skills are such that I find myself eager to speak and practice, regardless of the difficulty I may be facing. She has this subtle way of pushing you past your comfort zone while ensuring you feel completely supported. I highly recommend Kumi-san to anyone looking to embark on the journey of learning Japanese. Whether you're a beginner or looking to hone your skills, her teaching will undoubtedly be a valuable asset in your linguistic arsenal.

We discussed the craziness of English language, weekend nomenclature (this weekend can mean this last weekend or next like, "This weekend I did X.", or "Hey, how about we do X this weekend?") ...
