Tammy

Tammy 先生 is THE BEST. After trialing several other teachers, it’s pretty obvious that she is different than the rest. She very clearly has teaching experience. She has great energy, and explains things well at an appropriate level of Japanese. She’s also very patient, and will wait for you to try and finish sentences (unlike several teachers I have had) so that you actually get a chance to speak Japanese. She’s also very understanding, so I never feel embarrassed when my Japanese is completely wrong. She is also great at conversation so you rarely get those awkward silent pauses. I feel very lucky to have found her!

Tammy is great. Very encouraging and patient. She gives lots of of space for me to try to speak in Japanese, even when it takes me a long time to remember the correct words. Highly recommend.

She was very easy to talk to and always had something to chat about so that it wasn’t awkward. She also remembers what you were talking about even when you trail off content, and redirects back to the original conversation which I find very helpful.
