Annelies keeps the conversation going effortlessly. She incorporates interesting discussion topics that help me learn not only the language, but also the local culture. After only a handful of lessons, I feel much more confident speaking and I'm now starting to catch some of my own mistakes as they happen. Love the lessons, and they are really helping me develop my conversation skills!

I had a great lesson with Annelies! She is very encouraging and professional. She does a great job of noting your mistakes and bringing them up during gaps in the conversation. She gave me a chance to identify my own mistakes in writing first, which I found really useful - then she would explain the grammar rules so that I knew how to do better in the future. She is good about bringing those instances back up to talk through how to say the sentence correctly. Annelies is a very meticulous and experienced teacher. Her lessons are well structured and balanced, covering a wide range of important vocabulary, grammar, and conversations while remaining easy to follow. She pays close attention to the detail of my work and provides necessary corrections. I feel that I can improve my Dutch and clarify the things I didn't fully understand before. This is exactly what I was looking for in a one-to-one class. I am looking forward to taking more lessons with her.
