Hello! My name is Cara and I am from Manchester, England. I currently work as a primary school teaching assistant specialising in speech and language therapy. After teaching English in Italy this summer I am also trying to improve my Italian on iTalki with hopes of returning to teach in Italy full-time. I have quite an informal approach to teaching. I believe that a friendly atmosphere and a place where students feel relaxed is important. I am a sociable person and like my students to feel like they can see me as a friend. I am always happy to have opinionated conversations and share experiences so we can get to know each other and chat whilst learning. I do prefer the fun of conversation based lessons but I am also keen to help people improve grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation etc.レッスンおよびティーチングスタイル
I believe conversation is the key to success in language learning, so I'm always up for a chat and we can help to improve your English skills as we go. I have plenty of interesting topics to discuss depending on your level/interests. Come to me with any articles/materials/topics you'd like to discuss for a fun conversation lesson!
I can also provide help with any skills or vocabulary/grammar type lessons. I like to use authentic materials (articles, videos, TV/film clips) which students can find interesting and relatable, tailored to your level. Just get in touch and together we can figure out what's best for you!教材

Teaching AssistantI have been a teaching assistant for over a year, mostly in a secondary school where I also covered lessons across all subjects and ages in the absence of teachers but most recently in a primary school, where I deliver speech and language therapy interventions across all ages and needs. This will help me greatly with iTalki as it has strengthened my ability relay my knowledge of the English language to students of differing ages and abilities and also increased my confidence as a teacher.
2019 - 2020
Secondary English TutorI worked for a charity that provides free tuition to students of varying abilities in GCSE English Language and Literature both in schools and at in-home. This entailed familiarising myself with the curriculum and exam boards, creating resources and lesson plans, setting homework tasks, marking and providing feedback on work, and creating a strong rapport with students, all of which are invaluable practice for an aspiring EFL teacher.

Attending Ms Conte's classes has been a pleasure. She is professional, and I appreciate her way of informal teaching, which is incredible. She is undoubtedly flexible regarding the student's needs, as she has catered our classes to what I needed. I highly recommend her if you want to learn English with a supportive and well-organised teacher or have a friendly chat with an endearing and open-minded person to gain more confidence when speaking English.
