Akemi先生 is a wonderful teacher. She’s methodical, encourages conversations and explains things clearly. Akemi先生 also gives you additional cultural context / tips on new vocabulary etc. Her classes are always a delight, highly recommend!

Excellent opportunity for those who want to improve your Japanese pronunciation and pitch accent. Akemi san will definitely lead you to the road to sound like a native.

I have been studying with Akemi Sensei for a month and a half to prepare for a trip to Japan that came up at the last minute, and I super-highly recommend her! I barely knew any Japanese at all, yet in a short time, she has taught me grammar and language structure as well as the most useful words and phrases needed for travel. It would be impossible to speak at any level of fluency in such a short amount of time, but thanks to Akemi’s focus and thoughtfully designed lesson plan, I now feel completely confident approaching any travel situation with the Japanese she has prepared me with. There is absolutely no way I could have done this on my own with a language app!! Also, as I told her how much I love ice cream, she created for me a pdf with pictures and descriptions of recommendations. Now I am looking forward even more to my trip! Arigatou gozaimasu, Akemi-sensei!

Akemi Sensei is a gentle and lovely teacher of the Japanese language.
