Today marks the end of our Quartet 1 lessons. Nozomi-sensei was very accommodating in creating slides & resources for Quartet. And as with other aspects, I genuinely appreciate the effort Nozomi-sensei puts into her lessons. With the structure of these lessons in mind, Nozomi-sensei is also very flexible. Our conversations are rather casual and anything but textbook-examples (to this point, I very much appreciate sensei's tolerance of me experimenting with the language in weird ways). Overall, Nozomi-sensei will take you from beginner to advance, smoothing sailing all the way. She is genuinely invested in your conversations and is very patient (regardless of the extent of your language experiments!)

Nozomiใ•ใ‚“ is an amazing teacher! Conversations with her are always fun and engaging, which makes lessons fly by in an instant. I progressed from having no conversational experience, to being confident to speak in just a few lessons. She always encourages to speak more, and never makes you feel bad about trying more complex grammatical constructions, even if you make a lot of mistakes. Each lesson, I feel like I have learnt to utilize some grammar points better, some vocabulary, and often something new about Japanese culture / life in Japan. I can't recommend her enough and am looking forward to the next lessons!

Nozomi is amazing as usual, and her class is so calm and fun at the same time. This is the Japanese teacher I always keep coming back to because she is very attentive to details and caring during our conversations. She writes down on a Google Doc about any new words that we talked about that day. I am so excited to continue learning from her. :)

Nozomi always conducts comfortable, engaging, and proactive lessons, even now as we are approaching one year of studying together. Of course, there are things I can study on my own, but I continue taking lessons because I can learn practical and realistic conversation skills through speaking with her. Even when we do not choose a specific topic, she remembers what I like and starts enjoyable conversations with me. Sometimes we talk about completely new subjects, and through those conversations I learn words I never knew before and discover cultural differences between us. That is one of the biggest charms of free-talking lessons. I am sure Nozomiโ€™s kind, warm, and thoughtful lessons will bring joy to many students.
