Hey guys! My name is Kosuke. I was born in Japan and now I live in New Zealand.
My passion is surfing and my hobby is travelling around NZ in my camper van.
I am excited to help you learn Japanese and to become part of your language-learning journey. Let's have fun learning together!

My motto is to make sure my students have FUN while studying with me. I provide a space for my students to practice real-world Japanese. I know from personal experience that the language used in a textbook is COMPLETELY different to the language used in real life. I’m here to teach you natural-sounding Japanese that is sure to be helpful, whether speaking to friends, travelling Japan, or just watching anime!

When learning Japanese, it’s important to put the things you learn to the test in a real-life scenario. That’s why in my classes, I give you the opportunity to talk about a topic of your choice in a natural conversational environment. Feel free to ask any questions you might have and I will correct any unnatural-sounding Japanese as we go.
I’ll do my best to gauge an understanding of where your Japanese is at and center each class around areas of difficulty. By working on areas you find tricky, your Japanese is sure to improve!

I had another great lesson with kosuke! Got a chance to chat for a while, learning some new vocabulary organically, and he found ways to naturally work some grammar points we studied both recently and further back into sentences that worked pretty naturally with our conversation. Planning on learning some new grammar points with him next lesson and looking forward to it!
