I’m really enjoying our classes. Learning a language through a subject I love, like history, makes the whole process so much better. I actually look forward to reviewing the material and preparing for what I know, will be an interesting discussion

I came across Virgile’s profile when he was new on italki—his profile was fresh. After watching his well-made introduction video, I decided to take a chance and booked a full package with him. I’m happy with my decision! He makes learning French enjoyable, he is patient, and tailors lessons to fit my needs, whether it’s improving my speaking skills, understanding grammar, or learning expressions that native speakers use. Along the way, he also teaches slang words that you actually hear in real-life conversations. He creates a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, which makes it easy to stay motivated and confident while learning. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great French teacher!

I've been studying French for a few months and had to find a new teacher because my teacher had limited availability starting in May. I'm glad I signed up with Virgile. Virgile's lessons seem well organized. He has a book we work out of and at the end of each lesson, I will receive a customized summary of the lesson, including new vocabulary based on class discussion. Homework is optional. During this first lesson, we had introductions and then I took a test to determine my level. I've never been told what level I was in the languages I've been studying so far so it was good to know.

I know Virgile through my brother. After studying with him, I feel very satisfied with my choice. He is an incredibly dedicated and passionate teacher. He is very patient and always happy to explain things that I don't understand. He corrects my pronunciation and grammar mistakes carefully. Besides French, I also hear about French culture and he also teaches me native slangs. He makes learning French truly enjoyable.
