I'm a teacher with more than three years of experience teaching the English language, and over three years of experience teaching science. I have taught English learners from around the world—so far, my students have called me from 60+ countries on six continents. I have taught English in Puerto Ayora, Ecuador while I studied for my CELTA, at a cram school for a year in Taichung, Taiwan, and online for the last two years. I have studied Spanish for many years, and more recently I have also studied Cebuano, Mandarin Chinese, Portuguese, Turkish, American Sign Language, and Lushootseed. The best way to learn a new language is to practice speaking as much as possible, and I will help you do that, without being afraid of making mistakes. Thus, while learning about scientific concepts like geology, astronomy, and hydrology, I was also studying and practicing another language. I took literature and history classes that were entirely in Spanish, and thus had to practice speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Spanish almost every day.
