Halo! I’m Riska—a language lover from Indonesia with roots in Garut’s lush hills and a heart for sharing my culture. Fluent in both Bahasa Indonesia and Sundanese, I help learners unlock these vibrant languages while weaving in local traditions and daily life. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me hiking Bandung’s trails (humming Sundanese folk songs!) or chatting with global friends online. From bustling classrooms to intimate one-on-one sessions, my teaching career has taken me on a diverse and rewarding journey since 2011. I cut my teeth teaching English to both elementary and high school students in a language center, before transitioning to private tutoring from home. Currently, I'm inspiring young minds as a middle school English teacher. I've even had the privilege of introducing international children to the beauty of Bahasa Indonesia. This varied experience has honed my ability to adapt to different learning styles and create engaging lessons for all ages. In our lessons, we'll focus on developing practical conversation and clear pronunciation – essential skills for effective communication. I believe in a collaborative approach, and I'm always open to your suggestions on how we can best tailor the lessons to your learning style and goals. She is patient, kind, and flexible, and encouraging; even though I’m a total beginner in Sundanese, I feel motivated and confident thanks to her. I am having some sessions with Riska to get my Indonesian (intermediate beginner) to speaking, we chat about different topics starting from the weather and about cultural differences. It is very helpful for me to practice and Riska speaking mostly in Bahasa Indonesia keeps me coming back to express the words in the language. Terima kasih banyak!
