Another wonderful lesson. She helped me really understand the pronunciation and use of different letters in gĩkũyũ. The vibes were fun, friendly, and helpful. Conversations about cultures and accents made my gĩkũyũ knowledge better rounded. She also made great resources specifically explaining the topics I was struggling with in a way that combined with my native language. This made it so much easier to understand. I recommend this teacher to all!!

Agnes kindly answers all my questions, no matter how silly I feel for asking them. Not just about the language at hand but the cultural contexts that come along with it. I’m excited every week to learn what she has planned. She has worked on a curriculum that is functional and helpful, one I’m excited to continue. She provides lots of examples and helps me understand both the formal language and vocabulary and what I am more likely to hear while in Kenya. I greatly appreciate her guidance and wonderful attitude. I’m very glad she is my teacher!!

I love Aggie’s classes! We alternate between conversational practice and learning vocabulary/grammar. She also gives stimulating homework and offers explanations with her corrections. I am learning so much faster with her than I would be without. I really enjoy the lessons as well. Plus, it’s satisfying that things are clicking for me!

Today I got to know the ins and outs of numbers in Swahili. Aggie is so helpful, giving me lots of examples and teaching me not only the “textbook way” to say things but also the way things are commonly said in the real world. Very very helpful!!
