I am Nayana from Sri Lanka, and I am a Sinhala native speaker myself. I speak two languages Sinhala and English. Also, I am an English learner myself. I am a TEFL-certified teacher. I've earned some teacher training course certificates on the British Council website (www.teachingenglish.org.uk) as well. I used to work as a computer trainer at a computer institute and also have teaching experience through volunteering. My experiences as an English learner have equipped me to understand the challenges of language learners better, and I am more than willing to share some of the methods that have been effective during my own language-learning journey. I would start with basic Sinhala lessons such as the alphabet (if necessary), basic grammar, and day-to-day conversational Sinhala sentences, and then smoothly move on to advanced lessons. I will provide pdf notes and whatever effective materials that I can provide for learners. most importantly, I will pay attention to the demands and needs of the students. I believe learning a language should be a fun experience, so I focus on students' interests and find the best method for each individual.教材

I really enjoyed my first lesson with Nayana learning Sinhala. The lesson was really well structured with excellent resources and she helped me gain a good understanding of what we covered, despite how different Sinhala is to English. She was kind and supportive and I left feeling really encouraged that I can make progress. I've booked some further lessons and am looking forward to learning with Nayana.
