Excellent classes, we were able to practice speaking and listening with a focus on the IELTS. Eleanor is very patient and we talked about cultural topics.

Eleanor taught me new UK English as indicated below
1.its a bit of stretch
2.Thats not ideal
3.You love to see it
4.I rate that
5.fair play
i have to memorize as ND start using them naturally.
She taught me more than 60 expressions. I memorized them and try to use according to each situation. When learning new UK English , they slipped my mind at first but gradually I'm comfortable using them once I memorize.
Thank you, Eleanor.
She came to Japan long time ago. that's amazing. Time flies.

Ellenar walked me through how to use UK English by using sample sentences.
1.That's rough vs that's tough
2. That's peng vs That's ace.
3.Throw ones weight around
act in a bossy way
4.weigh in on means not decided yet. On the fence has the same meaning.
5.Scottish English is very unique and even for UK people to have hard time, sometimes in understanding. I'm grateful for Eleanors teaching style.
I'll book another lesson.

Ellenar and I talked about one UK slang after another. Prior to that, I came home and had a dinner and quick shower. My fun time started as indicated below:
Time flies when having fun.The following is slangs she taught me:
1.throw a spanner
2.faff around as a meaning of waste time
3.Bobs your uncle
4.take the mick
5.take the piss
Both means tease someone
Or something is unreasonable.
6.cheeky pint it means casual drink
7.This guy is cheeky. It means rude.
8.donkey years
It means for a long time
9.all mouth and no trousers
All talk and do nothing
10. I'll ping her over with my questions.
11.miffed and hacked
Both mean annoyed
Miffed is UK English and hacked is American English.
I immersed myself into her lesson today. I'm chuffed to the bits.
