Hi,
My name is Karen. I am from Suriname. In 1975, my country became independent from the Netherlands. So, Dutch is my mother tongue.
I love languages. I am proficient in English and I also speak French, Mandarin, Portuguese, Spanish and the local Sranan Tongo.

I studied tourism, business management and law. Since 2007, I have been teaching different subjects to adolescents, adults and professionals. Amazing lesson! Karen prepares the lesson based on what I like. Today, for example, we studied a poem from the greatest Surinamese poet. It is so interesting a profoundly cultural to study Dutch in this way. Dankjewel Karen 💜

Not only I am learning Dutch but also I am getting to know your amazing country full of diversity. Your lessons are the most cultural and inspiring of all.
