After not clicking with some other tutors, I had my first lesson with 晓晓老师 back in September 2024. I've had a 1hr lesson with her almost every week since. I let her know early on that I tend to find following textbooks rather boring. She was totally able to accommodate me. She creates a lovely bright learning atmosphere and you can tell she's really passionate about teaching. I always look forward to our lessons and don't feel intimidated or put down when she corrects my grammar/pronunciation. The review materials provided after each lessons are detailed and very much appreciated. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone wanting to learn Chinese whether they're a beginner or more advanced.

晓晓老师 is a very friendly, warm-hearted, energetic and accommodating teacher. She teaches according to her student's needs and requirements, while retaining her high teaching standard. 晓晓老师 adjusts her language to her student's level and paitiently explains unknown words. She provides high quality notes of the lesson for review and is willing to give feedback. I've already learned a lot and am very happy to have found her.

Most students who explore a new language, will eventually struggle with the basic concepts and understanding of how their target language is spoken, written, and read in everyday practice. For me, studying Chinese language/culture has been a balancing art of patience and honesty. While working with 晓晓, I have learned to enjoy being patient without feeling disappointed. She has taught me to be kind with the process, and keeps me motivated to learn. Her methods encourage growth, while always remaining firm with the discipline of learning a new language. I highly recommend 晓晓. Working with her, you’ll feel strong about your Chinese studies and make a new friend along the way. Happy studying everyone.

Thank you Xiaoxiao Laoshi for your energy! My 5 y/o boy enjoyed the class and said he liked the teacher. Didn't want to leave after 30 minutes. She did well to ask questions, not use English so as to immerse my child, and refocus my child whenever it was needed. Appreciated all the voice notes and review materials after the class. We will be coming back for more classes!

我在晓晓这边学习简单的文言文。晓晓老师是个心思缜密，非常细心，有耐心和亲和力的教师。和她上课不仅能接触到新内容，还能学到怎么应用新学到的知识。 每一个字她会先让我翻译，然后一个一个的给我分析。有的时候也会给些现代用法当例子。翻译整体意思的时候也会纠正我的语法结构，不会让我模糊过关。她选的内容有的时候会应用前面出现过的写法。每次上课也会先复习上次学的内容。选的内容难度都恰恰好。晓晓老师虽然有点严格但是这样我才记得住。有的时候我用中文表达不出来意思，但晓晓老师也是非常耐心的解释。真的非常喜欢晓晓老师的教学方式！ Hope I’ll be able to better understand the classical texts I use to practice my calligraphy one day!!

Another great lesson with good correction of my tones and new words and phrases. Lots of practice during class.
